These release notes only capture what's new in the core of Visual Studio Code.

It is also available for Mac, which makes it easy to deal with HTML/JS/CSS, i.e. It’s a code editor where you can write codes, supports debugging, task running, and version control. Visual Studio Code is like the strip down version of Visual Studio IDE. Differences between Visual Studio Code & Visual Studio IDE You can also keep settings easily synced between the two with the Settings Sync extension. If you do not want to let go of the standard or free version, then it is possible to have both versions of the program installed. It includes the latest features and bug fixes, but new features may or may not be stable. Visual Studio Code Insiders is a beta version.
